Saturday March 26, 2016 – In the amazing city of Shanghai in China with it’s modern skyline coupled with some traditional buildings.
We were amused by the sign welcoming us in the port as we got off the ship

Some traditional architecture persists

Hanging out the laundry of a high rise building

And some western shops
Spring and the blossoms in the trees are spectacular

birds for sale as pets above and the Yu Yuan gardens about 400 years old

Going to the Jade Buddha temple with it’s gold Buddhas, guardians and the central 1 Ton solid jade Buddha (pictures not permitted)
