Wednesday January 30, 2019 – Thailand – Phuket and Phang Nga Islands and long tail boat ride. Pictures from yesterday, the post will follow once complete.

The Long Boat in Phang Nga that took us to the Islands and floating gypsy village for lunch.

The electric grid as seen in Phuket on the 2 1/2 hour journey to the neighboring island of Phang Nga. Reminiscent of Buenos Aires Argentina and other locations visited.

The Islands with steep limestone walls in the bay of Phang Nga very reminiscent of Halong Bay near Hanoi in Vietnam.

The picture with the beach and people show the size of these mountains and is known as James “Bond Island” since the key sequence of “The Man With the Golden Gun” was filmed here.

The red roofed houses are the gypsy village where we had lunch and visited the school. The entire village is built on stilts and all who live there are Muslim so no alcohol is served.

We then went to the cave where there is a large cave with the reclining Buddha and monkeys abound.
