Knal, followed by the actor doing a treatment like he did if Dickens, but this time it was about Jane Austen. Neil Laughton spoke on his experiences climbing Everest in which it took three times to succeed. He spoke of those who died while he was on the mountain and really brought to life what life is really like in “The Death Zone”. I should mention that Tristram Elmhirst is on board and doing his series of 6 very interesting talks on Forensics. We skipped them all as we recently heard him give the same talks on a recent trip. However, all are fascinating and he is an excellent speaker.
The evening singer Sophie Tehrani was brilliant in her interpretation of songs of Shirley Bassey, Bette Middler and Barbara Streisand.
