Today seemed more relaxed than most as there were only 2 lectures, but we seemed to keep busy, eating and browsing in the shops. We did purchase the very nice book on the House of Faberge which discusses all the family and works of the Father down to Theo – the Grandson. This followed another informal chat with Philip Birkenstein the Chairman of the Board of “The Saint Petersburg Collection” – the company that has sole rights to make and sell the Theo Faberge collection.
Dr. Chris Martin the Doctor / Lawyer got into the details of what is “Informed Consent” as it applies to medical procedures and what are the requirements of the Doctor to inform the patient prior to surgery.
The dramatic Lucy Russell spoke on the extent of the Ottoman Empire in the 16th Century and the Art of that period.
John Evans, the brilliant comedian kept us in stitches of laughter during his performance. A fun evening. Tomorrow, we reach the Island of Crete as we dock in Heraklion early in the morning.
