2023-04-24 – Southampton, England – Day 111

Monday April 24, 2023

Another day of “Hurry up and Wait”. While many were hounding any officer or crew member they could lay their eyes on to get information with none coming forth, we just went about our same daily routing enjoying what the ship had to offer. There were two lectures – the first by Richard Stirling on Julie Andrews and the second by Anne Sebba on Wallace Simpson and the fact that she was the one being chased not the other way around. The afternoon was taken up with Anne in the gym and Roger on his Monday Zoom calls, then we set about packing as we are not sure what will happen tomorrow, which is the day we are supposed to find out what the arrangements are that they have made. The evening’s performance by Georgina Jackson from Wigan, NW England who played the trumpet and sang. She plays with the BBC Big Band and other shows.
