Our last day on the ship. By this time, there were just a few of us aboard so the main cafeteria Kings Court was closed, the upper and two-thirds of the main Britania Restaurant was closed, lectures were basically absent, so it gave us time to complete all the last minute things and had a nice long lunch with the people we had sat near for 4 months. It was fun to get a chance to have a leisurely lunch chatting with them.
We did finally get the letter saying that they had booked us on the late Sunday night flight so had to do to the purser’s office and tell them to cancel. On Saturday April 29th we got a taxi, early, arriving in plenty of time at Heathrow, catching the flight and getting home to NYC that evening without any more adventures.
It was one amazing holiday, seeing so much of the world and having such amazing experiences. Definitely, to be repeated with a different itinerary.
