Wednesday January 29, 2025 – At Sea Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
There was no first lecture at 10 am as there was a general Crew Drill. This is required by maritime law and often is a drill to how to react if there is a fire aboard or if a person falls overboard etc.
Next came Dr. Michael Conniff – An Adventurer’s Guide to Baja California where he gave a vague and disjointed presentation about Baja California talking about the Auto Race – the Baja 1,000; also about Baja being considered an Island in the early days, to California being considered the “Atlantis” of the Pacific.
Next Lawrence Kuznetz spoke on “The Search for ET”. He explained about whether there is or can be some form of life on other planets and whether there is water and perhaps extremeofiles.
The evening show was the Cunard Company – Showtime – Let’s Dance. A fast paced rapid costume changing dance show by the five pairs of Singers and Dancers or the Cunard Company. We had seen it before, but it is actually an excellent show, so it was good to see it again.
